September 2007: Major upgrades

A program of system upgrades is taking place. Although most effort is going in overnight, there may be brief outages. Whilst we endeavour to maintain continuity, we remind all users that our servers are not intended for use as offsite backup, and that you must keep current local copies of web and mail - although we were very unnerved to discover that one user was using a mail account for documents from 2003, and was kind enough to say that this was because USP was so reliable, he simply forgot to make secure local copies.
