HSKI does whatever it takes to protect Haitian children, currently we help some 3,000 street kids and (escaped) restavek slaves and are running a shelter for about 200 others. We walk the streets offering advice, councelling, hope and first aid to the estimated 400,000 abandonded children here in Haiti.

If you are able to offer any kind of land for shelter please email us

We know that there are at least 400,000 child slaves (some as young as 4 years old) being abused and put to work across Haiti. Thousands are left dead or 'for dead' on the streets after their owners have disguarded them due to inevitable poor health. We find some crippled from unimaginable physical abuse - involving electrical wire, fire and whatever else was to hand at the time - and of course systematical rape.

HSKI speaks on behalf of those 400,000 slave children. We also feed, shelter and educate as many of the thousands of runaways as your donations allow.

Education
HSKI runs a highly structured milieu incorporating life-skills training with attention to psychological rehabilitation while encouraging dignity, self-reliance, health and security. Please donate whatever you can, make a difference .

Longterm
We also lobby governments, individuals and organisations such as the UN to honour the work of past human rights activists by demanding that the Haitian government enforce a total ban on slavery and child abuse.
